After an action-packed day filled with grocery shopping for the upcoming holidays, preparing delicious snacks, and organizing my tax information, I found myself heading to a tax appointment. The hours flew by as I made important phone calls to keep the Faery Academy of QuillSnap thriving, leaving me feeling quite drained by the day’s end.

As the sun dipped below the horizon, I met a dear friend at Pizza King. Her vibrant personality and infectious laughter always bring joy to my life; she is wonderfully hilarious, delightfully wild, and unapologetically quirky—traits that endear her to everyone around her. It’s in moments like these, surrounded by friends who can make you laugh until your sides hurt that you realize such connections are truly priceless.

After enjoying delicious pizza and engaging in lively conversation, we returned home to relax and watch the exciting women’s basketball game between Iowa and Iowa State. It was a nail-biter that kept me on the edge of my seat! There was no chance for an early bedtime, as the excitement of the game held our attention until the very end. As I reflected on the day, I went to bed eager for the adventures that awaited me in QuillSnap the next morning!
